General facts

L'Association Montessori internationale a été fondée en 1929 pendant le premier Congrès Montessori international qui eut lieu à Helsingör (Danemark) en même temps que le Congrès mondial de l'Education nouvelle. (HB 1936) The International Montessori Association was founded in 1929 during the first Montessori Congress which was held in Helsingor (Denmark) at the same time as the World Congress for the New Education. Subsequent congresses were held at Nice (1932), Amsterdam (1933), Rome (1934), Oxford (1936) and Copenhagen (1937). (HB 1938)
