Les cinq associations fondatrices avaient en vue de remplacer la Ligue internationale des Associations touristes, fondée en 1897; réunions provisoires à Paris en mai 1919 et en avril 1920; réunion définitive et adoption des statuts à Bruxelles les 15 et 16 octobre 1920. L'Assemblée générale s'est réunie à Bruxelles du 24 au 28 juin 1925. It was the intention of the five original associations to replace the International League of Tourists' Associations, founded in 1897. Provisional meetings were held in Paris in 1919 and 1920. The adoption of statutes took place at Brussels in 1920. The General Assembly met at Brussels, in 1925, at Vienna in 1926, at Geneva in 1927 and at Amsterdam in 1928. (HB 1929) HB 1936: L'Alliance internationale de tourisme a été fondée à Paris, le 30 mai 1919, par le Touring Club de France, l'Automobile Association and Motor Union, le Cyclist's Touring Club, le Touring Club Italiano et le Touring Club de Belgique, qui se sont adjoint comme co-fondateurs l'Union vélocipédique de France, l'American Automobile Association et la Ligue vélocipédique belge. The International League of Tourists' Associations was founded in Luxemburg on August 4th, 1898. In most countries its work was interrupted by the "war. Under the name of the International Touring Association it was reconstructed in Paris on May 30th, 1919, by the following clubs: the Touring Club of France, the Automobile Association and Motor Union, the Cyclists' Touring Club, the Touring Club Italiano and the Touring Club of Belgium, who appointed as co-foundation members the French Union Velocipedique, the American Automobile Association and the Belgian Ligue Wlo-cipedique. The last General Assemblies have been held at Prague (1931) Copenhagen (1932), Rome (1933), London (1934), Budapest (1935), Monte Carlo (1936). (HB 1938)
