To study for general purposes questions connected with the international organisation of information ; to establish co-operation between such chemical information organisations as exist or may later be established in the various countries ; to encourage and facilitate exchanges and loans between Government departments, Parliaments, universities, research institutes, information bureaux, libraries, museums, learned societies and professional associations of information and documents relating to pure and applied chemistry. Les travaux en cours peuvent se résumer comme suit : 1° Organisation de la documentation existante : répertoire international des centres de documentation chimique, définition d'un centre de documentation, copie photographique des documents ; 2° élaboration de la documentation : recensement des sources, répertoire des périodiques chimiques, rédaction, présentation et édition des mémoires, édition des ouvrages d'utilité internationale, diffusion de la documentation; 3° coordination de la documentation chimique et de la documentation universelle : terminologie de la documentation, collaboration à l'enquête de l'Institut international de Coopération intellectuelle sur la documentation.
